Here's a few answers to some of the common questions we get asked by customers visitng our site...
1) It won't let me order the amount I need, why not?
With over 50 million components on the shelf, we have a vast stock of products but you will find instances where parts aren't in stock at our own warehouse. In these instances, our suppliers hold these parts for us but they can be subject to minimum order quantities.
2) I need the product quickly, what's the best way to ensure I get a speedy delivery?
Go for parts with the words 'You Save' underneath the price as this generally signifies that the parts are available off the shelf. There may possibly be instances where we may not have the colour or finish you require but we make every attempt to contact customers in this instance.
3) How do I make sure I'm getting the best deal?
Always use the discounted pack option drop-downs as these will work out cheaper and bear in mind that all prices on the site include VAT. Unit prices are based on just 1 unit, so by using the drop downs, you'll access volume discounts of up to 60%!
4) Are there less expensive or off the shelf alternatives?
Often yes, consider metric or imperial equivalents and whether or not you can accept a domed option rather than a flat option or maybe even a different colour. Huge reductions are available in our Discounted Stock Lines section, and you'll see these parts around the rest of the site, signified by a flashing red star.
5) How can I get hold of an invoice and are the prices inclusive of VAT?
As directed on the site, all our prices include vat and we supply a vat invoice with every purchase. If for any reason you don't receive this then give our customer service desk a call and we can send you over a copy electronically.
6) We're not able to pay by credit cards, what other payment options are there?
We accept most types of credit cards and paypal but you also have the option of requesting a pro-forma invoice from the payment option drop-downs. Trade account customers can also order online, and have these orders added to their account - there's even a facility to quote your own order numbers.
7) I'm having problems paying with my card and I'm not sure if my transaction has gone through or not?
The credit card payment screen is actually hosted by Barclaycards secure ePDQ server, so unfortunately we don't have any control over the processing and security issues associated with card payments. We do however have a live link to Barclaycard and if there's been a problem with the virtual terminal, we have a physical terminal in the office that we can process your transaction through.
