Manufactured from Zinc Alloy Die Cast, these Self Tapping Insert Nuts provide a strong, permanent thread for wood and wood based sheet materials. To install these Type D Insert Nuts, simply screw the self-tapping body into the base material. The unique external thread ensures positive locking and offers strong resistance against pull-out due to torsion or vibration.

 

The Type D Insert Nuts incorporate a flange which prevents splitting of covered surfaces and driving the Insert Nut in too far. Typical applications include audio equipment, cabinets, chairs, desks and shop equipment.  Other styles are available to order as we only tend to show the most popular lines, which are readily available on the website.
